From Humble Beginnings

My name is Adam and I have been working in the surfacing industry since 1994 giving me over 20 years experience in both the commercial and private sectors. It all started with my first employer (a driveway and tennis court company) where I spent 10 years learning my craft. Since then I have worked for a number of other firms but found myself unhappy with bad management and a lack of job satisfaction. I then joined a company with very high standards that had contracts with various county and borough councils. This was completely different due to better organisation with a management that recognised hard work and due diligence. This led to me becoming an Ambassador for them and often running a team of workers. The tarmac work was on a much bigger scale covering completely rebuilding roads and pathways together with carrying out complete road repairs on many A roads and areas of high public foot fall. Due to high levels of road traffic, traffic management was required and necessitated the work needing to be of a very high standard.

It is this last role that gave me the drive to start MacAdam Ltd. Having a young family I wanted to put all my experience into my own company and build a future for them.

So at MacAdam that is why we offer our clients a service and products that we can be proud of so that you, as our client, can be assured our work will stand the test of time. I have found corners are usually cut when people use cheap materials, incorrect pricing and bad labour; so here at MacAdam Ltd we always use the highest quality materials required for your job and you will find me in a organised work area as I take great pride in my work.
